Dwgs On A601 Finish Schedule Vol‐02, is the intent to provide a concrete coating as stated in section 09 90 00 at existing concrete floor finish areas listed on the schedule? Note #2 on S103 & S104 references that spec section but its not clear on the finish schedule.

Please see CLIN 0005 Concrete Repair and Sealer Ground Level Dockside for scope of note 2 on S103 & S104 on Volume 1. See updated specification 09 90 00 for clarlty of application.

Finish schedule on A‐601 does not include CLIN 0005.

197 5/11/2021 Vol 2 Dwgs

On A601 Finish Schedule Vol‐02, is the intent to provide a concrete coating as stated in section 09 67 23.13 epoxy floor finish areas listed on the schedule?

09 67 23.13 ‐ Resinous Flooring is applicable at EPOXY locations on the A‐ 601 which correlate with key note 6 on A‐101 & A‐102.

198 5/11/2021 Vol 3 Dwgs

On S‐121 and S‐525 (Vol 3), the passageway shown has no transverse floor members. The floor plate elevation is 5'‐ 5", which leaves a 1" gap between the bottom of floor plate and the top of building steel. Is this gap the intention, or is there supposed to be floor members or grating under the floor plate?

Grating D1 is present over entirety of Support Tower Level 1 including beneath passageway. Top of deck note on S‐525 is intended to indicate top of grating/underside of diamond plate. Refer to the updated drawings.

199 5/11/2021 Vol 3 Dwgs

On S‐121 and S‐525 (Vol 3), the passageway shown has two door openings (sec C4 and C5), each with different vertical dimensions, ie, top of door opening are at different elevations. Please provide detail showing elevation of passageway roof is intended and how roof is intended to transition from passageway roof to top of door openings.

200 5/11/2021 7 05 12 00 1.4.3 Specification indicates that connection design is delegated to the GC/Fabricator. There are many connections details shown in both Vol 2 and Vol 3. Is GC expected to provide calculations for all connections, ie, even if connection is detailed in plans, or only for connections that are not shown?

Fabricator's engineer is responsible for all connections that are not part of the lateral load resisting system (i.e.

gravity connections). Calculations are required only for the connections designed by the fabricator's engineer ‐ connection details shown in the documents are to be used where indicated.

201 5/11/2021 7 05 52 00 2.2.9 Specification indicates capacity requirements for handrail.

Most (maybe all) handrail member sizing and connections are shown in both Vol 2 and Vol 3. To what extent, if any, Is GC expected to provide calculations for handrail?

No calculations for guardrails are required where sizes are indicated on drawings.

202 5/11/2021 7 05 51 33 2.3 Specification indicates GC is to provide PE stamped shop drawings showing material size and geometry for ladders.

Vol 2 ladders appear to be designed on plans. Is GC expected to provide calculations for Vol 2 ladders, or just have a PE review shop drawings for material size and geometry compliance? (Note: Vol 3, which has all aluminum ladders, are clearly noted on drawings they are to be designed by GC)

PE review and stamp of shop drawings for material size and compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards is acceptable.

203 5/12/2021 Vol 1 S‐101

Please clarify what repairs are expected at the existing slab of the Dockside Complex for the base bid versus CLIN 0005 ‐ Option 4. Is the slab to remain as‐is for the base bid and the repairs shown on sheet S‐502 and specified in 03 01 00 Rehabilitation of Concrete for Option 4?

There are no repairs to the existing slabs as part of the base bid. CLIN 0005 includes repairs per Vol. 1, spec.

03 10 00 and 09 90 00.

204 5/12/2021 Amendme nt 006 CLIN 011 and 0012 were revised from 330 days to 180 days in Amendment 006, PPI 138 response. In the same Amendment the anticipated NTP day was changed from July 1 to September 1 decreasing the work window leading up to the dock fit up testing by 62 calendar days. Work and fabrication cannot commence until the coordination drawings per specification section 01 33 00 paragraph

1.16.1 are complete. These coordination drawings and delayed award do not allow enough time to complete the project within the timeframes specified in the Solicitation.

After updating and reviewing our anticipated construction schedule with these dates we cannot meet the April 2023 dock fit up testing or contract completion date. Please revise the CLIN's 011, 012 and 013 to a maximum of 60 calendar days to award from NTP.

CLINs 011, 012 & 013 cannot be reduced by 120 calendar days to a maximum of 60 calendar days to award from NTP as requested.

The government will provide 120 additional days between award of CLINs 011, 012, & 013 and the Dock Fit Up. Maximum duration between NTP and CLINs 011, 012, & 013 will be 120 days, providing 60 additional days. Dock Fit Up will be moved to June 1 2023 ‐ July 31 2023, providing an additional 60 days.

There is no further ability for the government to revise the award and Dock Fit Up schedules due to other Government schedule constraints.

205 5/12/2021 31 63 29 1.3.2.G & 3.3.1.A

Specification Section 31 63 29 Micropiles, 1.3.2.G and 3.3.1.A require verification test piles and proof test piles to be tested in compression. Every test will require sacrificial reaction piles if in compression, significantly increasing the cost of the work. Would tension tests be allowed instead of compression for all testing?

Piles may be tested in tension or compression.
