About this file
This amendment modifies a solicitation for the replacement of the Dry Dock 1 caisson at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The proposed project provides for the fabrication, delivery, and installation of a new steel caisson with mechanical and electrical systems to interface with the existing dry dock structure. Key changes in the amendment include revising the test pressures for piping and valve components from 150 psi to 60 psi and 15 psi, specifying materials like 316L stainless steel and Super Duplex 2507 for components, adding fire alarm transmitter requirements, and revising coating system tables for valves and piping. The Navy is procuring these services through full and open competition solicitation N4008521R0272 with an expected award date in 2022.
