Q907 Continuation Sheet

Reference Clarification/Change

Q907 Part 3,chapter 1, Project Description

Delete Figure 2, Q907, NSWG-3 Dry Combat Submersible Operations Facility, Site Plan. Replace it with attached Notional Site Sketch, and add the following Caption Below: “This notional sketch is for general information only. Final location and orientation of the building and its associated laydown paved areas, access roads, parking lot and any other site appurtenances are to be worked out after award, during the CDW.

The hatched area illustrated on the notional sketch are the limits of construction and potential building location. “

Part 3, Chapter2 ,Project Objectives

Section 2.7, Adaptability and Flexibility, add the following language at end of the section:

“The building and associated staging and laydown areas to the East and West of the building may be shifting to support future planning of a wet slip and a wharf along the north shoreline. Additionally, future MILCONs will be planned on the peninsula (to be determined during the CDW). If during the CDW it is found that the functions of the building will work better with the potential planned site improvements, the building may also be flipped.

The wet slip needs to be in close proximity to the submersibles. The Wet slip and the wharf will be located along the North Shore. Even though the addition of these two improvements will not be part of this contract, consideration needs to be given to the location of the building and building functions to allow for optimal operation in conjunction with these future improvements once they are implemented.

Other items that may need to be adjusted include but are not limited to access roads, approach to the building, and location of the parking lot.

This will be determined during the CDW.”

Part 3, Chapter 3, Site Analysis

B202004

Section 3.2.6, NOSSA approval: add the following language at the end of the section:

“It is not anticipated that any additional risk or building hardening will result from moving the building about the site as the new building location will be outside of the explosive Arc Quaywall range, please refer to notional Site sketch, part of this amendment. The DOR’s final design shall be submitted to obtain NOSSA approval. NOSSA approval is estimated to take between four to six months.” The DOR can submit for NOSSA Approval once the location of the building has been determined. NOSSA approval is not contingent upon final building design.
