Boring logs which include information from soils test data and observed water tables have been included in the contract documents. Additionally, pertinent site prep, foundation, slab and paving construction notes have been included in the contract documents. If there is specific information that is required to construct the facility, please advise and release of that information will be considered.
57. We are looking to submit a bid for the Access Control portion of the above-listed project. There is no Access
Control listed in the Specifications manual. However, in the Door Hardware Schedule it says “ACCESS CONTROL BY ANOTHER SECTION” in some Hardware Groups.
This verbiage can be found in Section 08 71 00, starting on page 1194 of the Specifications Manual.
Has an Access Control solution been chosen? Is this project adding to the existing Access Control solution? If so, what is that solution? Has an Access Control provider been chosen?
Response: The Access Control System is Government Furnished Government Installed. Conduit, boxes, power, etc. to support the Access Control System are indicated on the Electrical Drawings (EP, ET and SY Drawings) and are to be provided by the Contractor.
Change wording in Door Hardware Schedule from ACCESS CONTROL BY ANOTHER SECTION to read ACCESS CONTROL BY GOVERNMENT also change wording for the following: DOOR POSITION SWITCH(ES) BY ANOTHER SECTION to read DOOR POSITION SWITCH(ES) BY GOVERNMENT, POWER SUPPLY FOR ACCESS CONTROL BY ANOTHER SECTION to read
POWER SUPPLY FOR ACCESS CONTROL BY GOVERNMENT, ALARM BY ANOTHER
SECTION to read ALARM BY GOVERNMENT, REMOTE RELEASE BY ANOTHER SECTION to read REMOTE RELEASE BY GOVERNMENT, PIR BY ANOTHER SECTION to read PIR BY
GOVERNMENT.
