PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: Item Description TITLE: Serial Numbers for MES equipment Sub-Contractor requires serial numbers for the MES and Life rafts onboard USNS Fall River.
Will Ship’s Force be able to provide required serial numbers?
ANSWER:
The current MES are scheduled to be swapped prior to ROH. The MES serial number will be one of the serials listed below based on arrival condition. It is currently undecided if the MES life rafts will be changed out prior to the POP and desired recertification cycle dates.

Can MSC confirm that this is not a typographical error; is this the correct value?
ANSWER: Total Liquidated Damages shall not exceed 50% of the contract value in Clause 52.211-11--- LIQUIDATED DAMAGES--SUPPLIES, SERVICES, OR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (SEP 2000) is not a typographical error. The value is correct.
QUESTION: #54:

PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: Section B TITLE: Price Schedule, No. 3 AGR details (d) RFP notes, “If a fair and reasonable price cannot be negotiated between the contractor and the ACO, the ACO reserves the right to: 2) Issue a unilateral modification; or” How does the Government determine a price to be considered fair and reasonable before a unilateral modification is issued?
ANSWER: To determine a price to be fair and reasonable the ACO will compare previously proposed prices and previous Government and commercial contract prices with current proposed prices for like items or Compare proposed prices with prices obtained through market research for the same or similar items.

Would MSC consider an SSPC SP11 as a safer alternative for Engine Room 1 & 2 Bilges?
