About this file

This is a pricing sheet and contract administration document for landscape and mowing services issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for a property located at 490 Main Street in Mendon, St. Joseph County. The contract encompasses grounds maintenance services including mowing, string trimming, grass cutting removal, debris and litter disposal, and spring cleanup of leaves, sticks, and debris across approximately 1.34 acres. Work is scheduled to occur once weekly at times determined by the program manager and contract compliance inspector. The contract base term is two years with no renewal options, commencing April 1, 2026, and concluding March 31, 2028. The property maintenance scope includes an estimated 30 mowing occasions annually and one spring cleanup occasion per year.

Bidders must submit unit pricing for each service occasion in the designated spreadsheet column, with calculations automatically generated for one-year and two-year cost totals. The contractor is required to provide and maintain reliable commercial equipment including mowers, string trimmers, and blowers that must be owned and available at contract start; equipment failure is not an acceptable reason for schedule deviations, and contractors must provide backup service in the event of mechanical breakdown. The contractor assumes full liability for property damage during service performance and is responsible for all repairs. Contract administration is managed by ReChelle Kendrick (517-335-5905; KendrickR1@michigan.gov), with invoices directed to Jennifer Simmons and program oversight provided by Mike Streeter (269-217-7785; StreeterM@michigan.gov). All equipment may be inspected prior to contract award.
