About this file

This is a pricing sheet for a landscape and grounds maintenance contract managed by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Southwest Region/Kalamazoo Transportation Service Center. The project involves maintenance services at the Carpool Lot located on US-131 Northbound, approximately one-quarter mile north of M-216 in Three Rivers, St. Joseph County. Services requested include mowing, string trimming, blowing grass cuttings from parking lots, removing and disposing of debris and litter on a 0.47-acre green area, spring cleanup of leaves, sticks, and debris on a 1-acre area, and monthly rough cut maintenance on a 0.60-acre red area. The carpool lot operates 24/7, with specific work days and hours to be determined by the project manager or Contract Coordinator Institute. The contract base term is two years with no renewal options, commencing April 1, 2026, and concluding March 31, 2028.

Bidders are required to submit unit pricing for each service occasion in the designated spreadsheet column, with the system automatically calculating one-year and two-year cost totals. Contractors must provide reliable commercial equipment including mowers, string trimmers, and blowers and certify that all equipment will be owned and available at contract start; equipment may be inspected prior to award. The contractor assumes full responsibility for property damage and is required to maintain backup service capabilities in the event of mechanical breakdown, as equipment failure is not an acceptable reason for schedule deviations. Contract administration is handled by ReChelle Kendrick at MDOT, with invoices directed to Jennifer Simmons and program management provided by Mike Streeter.
