About this file

This is a pricing sheet and equipment list for a landscape and mowing services contract issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Southwest Region/Kalamazoo Transportation Service Center. The contract covers maintenance services at the Carpool Lot located at M-40 and M-43 in Van Buren County. Services include mowing, string trimming, blowing grass cuttings from parking lots, and removal and disposal of debris and litter on approximately 0.96 acres, with an estimated 30 mowing occasions per year, plus one spring cleanup event annually for leaves, sticks, and debris. The contract has a base term of two years with no extension options, running from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2028, with work performed once weekly as determined by the Program Manager and Contract Administrator. The contract is administered by ReChelle Kendrick (517-335-5905) with Program Manager Mike Streeter (269-217-7785), and invoices should be submitted to Jennifer Simmons.

Bidders are required to enter unit prices for each mowing occasion and spring cleanup event in the provided spreadsheet, with automatic calculation of one-year and two-year costs. Contractors must provide reliable commercial equipment including mowers, string trimmers, and blowers that are owned and available at contract start; equipment failure is not an acceptable reason for schedule deviations, and contractors are responsible for providing backup service during mechanical breakdowns and for any property damage incurred during performance. All equipment may be inspected prior to award, and contractors must maintain a current SIGMA VSS ID and complete all required spreadsheet tabs as part of their bid submission.
