About this file

This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin's Invitation for Bid (IFB) 7800 MAS1007REBIDA for OEM Parts and Repair Services for Chevrolet Light- and Medium-Duty Vehicles in Texas. The form is optional and allows offerors to voluntarily identify themselves as small businesses to receive procurement preference incentives. Participation in the Small Business Procurement Program is not required to respond to the solicitation.

The City of Austin recognizes two categories of small business participation: Small Business Primes, which are businesses holding recognized small business certifications and may receive full preference, and Small Business Subs, which are non-small businesses that subcontract with one or more certified small business subcontractors and may receive partial preference if combined small business subcontracting values meet or exceed 5 percent of the total contract amount. The City defines small businesses as persons or corporate entities holding recognized certifications that comply with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards. Offerors must provide certification details including the certifying entity name, certification number, and expiration date. The City reserves the right to verify certifications by contacting certifying entities directly and may withhold preference, disqualify offerors, or void awarded contracts if misrepresentation of certification status is discovered.
