About this file
This is a Scope of Work submittal document for the City of Austin's Invitation for Bid (IFB) 7800 MAS1007REBIDA for OEM Parts and Repair Services for Chevrolet Light- and Medium-Duty Vehicles in Texas. The document outlines contractor qualifications and requirements that bidders must meet to be considered for contract award. Contractors must demonstrate a minimum of three consecutive years of experience providing Chevrolet parts and repair services within the last five years to municipalities or similar-sized organizations, maintain manufacturer-authorized dealer or reseller status, and operate a full-time, manufacturer-authorized warranty repair facility equipped with necessary tools, diagnostic equipment, and supplies. The facility must be located within 60 miles of the Texas State Capitol and remain accessible by email and telephone. Contractors must also employ a minimum of two service technicians dedicated to the specified vehicles and equipment. Authorized status must be demonstrated through submission of an Authorized Distributor Certificate, dealer agreement, or manufacturer letter of authorization.
The submittal includes a checklist format requiring contractors to confirm compliance with each qualification requirement and submit proof of technician experience, certifications, and training with their bid response or within five working days of City request. Additionally, contractors must provide a plan demonstrating their capability to comply with Code Red deliveries, expedited repair services, and emergency disaster services as specified in the Scope of Work. The City reserves the right to evaluate whether offerors possess existing agreements or resources to fulfill these specialized service requirements and may reject bids from contractors deemed insufficiently prepared, regardless of bid price.
