About this file
This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin's Invitation for Bid (IFB) 7800 MAS1006 regarding aftermarket parts for medium and heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The form outlines the City's Small Business Procurement Program, which encourages small business participation in municipal solicitations. Offerors may voluntarily identify themselves as recognized small businesses to qualify for preference incentives. The program accommodates two categories of participants: small business primes that may receive full preference, and non-small business primes that utilize small business subcontractors and may receive partial preference provided combined small business subcontracting values meet or exceed 5 percent of the total contract amount.
The City of Austin recognizes small businesses as entities holding certifications compliant with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards. Offerors must disclose their certification name, acronym, number, and expiration date on the submittal form. The City reserves the right to request additional information to verify certification status by contacting the certifying entity directly. Misrepresentation of small business certification status may result in forfeiture of available preference, disqualification from contract award if intentional, or contract voidance if discovered post-award. Participation in the Small Business Preference Program is optional and not required to submit a responsive offer to the solicitation.
