About this file

This is a Living Wage Submittal document issued by the City of Austin, Texas, establishing wage requirements for the After-Market Parts for Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks/Equipment contract (IFB 7800 MAS1006). Under the City's Living Wage Program, Rule R161-17.14, all contractor employees and subcontractor personnel directly assigned to this contract must be compensated at a minimum wage of $22.05 per hour. The City of Austin requires that contractors submit a certified list of all employees and subcontractors assigned to the contract, including employee names and job titles, with this information updated and provided to the City as necessary throughout the contract term.

Contractors must provide individual employee certifications within 30 days of contract execution, signed by each employee directly assigned to the work, with annual recertification on the contract anniversary date. The City reserves the right to review employee records and wage documentation at any time to verify Living Wage compliance. Contractors and subcontractors must maintain basic employment and wage information as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act. Violations of the Living Wage provision, including willful or repeated non-compliance or fraudulent certification statements, may result in contract termination for cause, suspension or debarment of the violating firm, or legal action. Affected employees must be compensated for wage deficiencies for each day a violation continues.
