About this file

This is a Solicitation Addendum No. 3 issued by Austin Financial Services—Central Procurement for the City of Austin regarding Invitation for Bid (IFB) 7800 MAS1006 for aftermarket parts for medium and heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The addendum extends the solicitation due date from August 4, 2026, to August 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM Central Time. The City of Austin seeks indefinite quantities of aftermarket parts on an as-needed basis to support Austin Fleet Mobility Services, with the option for other City departments to utilize the contract. The contract commences upon execution and continues until all obligations are performed, with the City retaining the option to extend beyond the initial term and to hold over for up to 180 calendar days unless otherwise agreed in writing. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged, and offerors are required to return one executed copy of this addendum with their response prior to the solicitation closing date, with failure to do so potentially constituting grounds for rejection.

The contract establishes fixed unit pricing for the first 12 calendar months, with price adjustments permitted on anniversary dates limited to changes in the Producer Price Index for other motor vehicle parts. The City applies local and small business discounts of up to 5 percent for bids up to $500,000 and 3 percent for bids between $500,000 and $50 million, with additional discounts available for small business subcontractors representing 5 percent or more of total bid value. A local business is defined as any entity with headquarters in the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area. Contractor employees and subcontractors must be paid a minimum of $22.05 per hour under the City's Living Wage Program. Payment is due within 30 calendar days of invoice receipt or deliverable acceptance, whichever is later, and contractors must maintain specified insurance coverage including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and business automobile or garage liability written by carriers with A.M. Best ratings of B+VII or better. Contractors must certify wage theft ordinance compliance and complete wage theft training within 30 days of award.
