Collaboration supported by technology requires communication between the collaborating parties.
Collaboration can occur in non real-time using communications technologies such as e-mail; however, this is not very efficient. Efficient and effective collaboration requires the use of one or more near real-time (text communications and document display) and real-time (voice and video) communications methods. Collaborative communications can also include other near real-time and non-real-time communications methods such as file transfer (non-real-time), screen/desktop sharing (VTC-like display of information), white boarding (interactive markup of displayed information, and application sharing for multiparty editing in near real-time. Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Solution for collection of contractor Past
Performance Information (PPI) as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation
(FAR). CPARS is a web-enabled application that collects and manages a library of automated contractor report cards. A report card assesses a contractor’s performance and provides a record, both positive and negative, on a given contract for a specific period of time. Each report card is based on objective facts and is supported by program and contract management data. Use of CPARS promotes report card consistency, increases data integrity, and motivates improved contractor performance.

IA code-reviews and mitigate IA vulnerabilities as required; develop and maintain documentation; coordinate server and infrastructure dependencies.
Service Lines IT Services are logically divided into seven service lines:
1.End User Support - Provides for operations, maintenance and helpdesk support to each MDA IT user desktop capability
2. Unified Communications - Provides for implementation, operations and maintenance of VTC, wireless and telephony services
3. Computer Network Defense - Provides for certification of IT networks and systems and computer emergency response services
4. Business Automation - Provides for the implementation, operations, maintenance of business specific applications (PRIDE, LMS, HRTS, DSS, etc.)
5. Portal and Data Services - Provides for the implementation, operations, and maintenance of Portal, digital records, and data archiving functions
6. Networks and Infrastructure - Provides for the implementation, operations, maintenance, and COMSEC for the MDA UNET/CNET
7. IT Planning and Solutions - Provides engineering support for new requirements analysis, design, planning, and implementation of IT solutions
Special Events
(Pre Planned)
Events (such as flight tests) that require VTC and collaboration systems and/or audio add-on equipment; require a VTC Event Planning Package consisting of test plans, engineering assessments, configuration drawings, accreditation documentation (if required) and other applicable documents or information. The nature of the event, personnel and/or facilities/rooms involved, determines required service level. Events may take place at MDA and/or non-MDA locations, may require surge support and may occur outside of core hours (weekends and/or evenings). These activities include travel.
Special Events
(Un-scheduled)
Events (such as real world situation) that require VTC and collaboration systems and/or audio add-on equipment. Generally does not require an Event Planning
Package, but would require engineering assessments, configuration drawings, accreditation documentation if applicable. The nature of the event, personnel and/or facilities/rooms involved, determines required service level. Events generally take place at MDA locations, may require surge support, may occur outside of core hours (weekends and/or evenings) and would require 24/7 surge support for at least two locations during the length of the Event.
Standard
Operating
Procedures (SOP)
A written document or instruction detailing all steps and activities of a process or procedure. Essentially requires the documentation of all procedures used in any process that could affect the quality of services.
Sub site A named subdirectory of an MKO top level site. Each sub site can have independent administration, authoring, and browsing permissions from the top level site and other sub sites.
T
Target Quality
Level (TQL)
A TQL is the contract performance goal related to the CPO as evaluated as part of the QASP. (see also AQL and MQL)
Taxonomy Organization and classification of content that is then transferred into an organized hierarchy, becoming an information architecture.
Team Site A collaborative workspace that lets team members in a single organization, or multiple organizations, use a single information-sharing space to create, edit, version, manage, and delete site content.
U
Unified
Communications
An integrated set of multiple modes of electronic communication media such that a caller may initiate a call in one mode and be able to collaborate with recipients in multiple other modes and vice versa. Modes of communication include real-time ones such as wired telephony, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), wireless telephony (i.e., cell phones, PDAs), video conferencing, TelePresence, and instant messaging (i.e., online chant). Unified Communications also includes non real-time modes such as faxing, texting (i.e., SMS – Short Message Services), voice mail and email.

User Training Training that results in the End User being sufficiently knowledgeable to make use of a given product or application in the performance of their duties. Can be administered by Computer Based Training (CBT), Classroom based or desk side training sessions. Includes course materials and applicable tests for user training of customer facing applications to include, but not limited to, Video Conferencing equipment. (e.g.,) Exchange OCS Desktop/Laptop User Training; eScheduler
