About this file
This is a pricing response form for RFP 63-26 issued by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) for the management, removal, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials, along with emergency response services. The form requires bidders to submit firm fixed unit costs for various hazardous waste disposal items including oil-based paint (10 drums), latex-based paint (10 drums), mineral spirits/lacquer thinner (8 drums), waste flammable liquids (4 drums), 5-gallon grease buckets (24 cubic yards), expired paint containers (12 cubic yards), solvent-based aerosol cans (10 drums), and spray paint aerosol cans (10 drums), among other materials. The pricing structure includes separate unit cost columns for Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 of the base contract period, along with optional extension pricing for Option Year 1 and Option Year 2.
All quoted prices must be inclusive of ancillary charges such as labor, tooling, equipment, transportation costs, customs, duties, and other associated costs. Bidders are required to complete every line item, and the MBTA reserves the right to reject any bid with blank entries. The MBTA retains discretion to adjust quantities by up to 125 percent of the estimated annual amounts without price adjustments per unit. Contingency work may be required for unforeseen conditions or items not included in the scope of work, and such contingencies require MBTA approval prior to execution, with the agency reserving the right to self-perform or solicit alternative proposals for such work.
