LPUE Low Power Uplink Enhancement – Available at VTS and planned at EVCF.
Defense Meteorological Satellite Program Enhancement – Single unit available at TTS and NHS each of which is switchable between their respective ARTS-A and ARTS-B antennas.
Inflatable Raydell Teflon® Kevlar® fiber radome rated at 200 MPH (currently located at GTS-A and GTS-B). GTS-A and GTS-B (as well as DGS-B) radomes have desalinization & dehumidification equipment .
Gray codes are Forward Supply Point codes (i.e. Line Replacement Unit items, etc.). Light blue codes are Bench Stock codes (Consumable items, etc.). NOTE: TSTR has the DODAAC signified in black.
The large X Signifies the number of combined ARTS HPAs to support the antenna. All other antennas without labels are single legacy HPA’s.
The dashed box indicates equipment that will be installed in the future.
Research Development Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) rack connected to select ARTS core/antenna.
ARTS antennas with diameters of: 10M, 13M (Antedo), 37’, 46’, 60’ .
USBE Unified S-Band Enhancement – located at DGS-A and TVCF.
Transportable Vehicle Checkout Facility Core Van - Contains all mobile equipment, with exception to the actual antenna and HPA, to run temporary AFSCN missions. Currently operational at Cape Canaveral.
Transportable Vehicle Checkout Facility (TVCF) Antenna Van - Contains both the transportable antenna and the HPA necessary to run temporary AFSCN missions when connected to the TVCF Core Van. Currently stored at VTS.
Antenna located at Cape Canaveral to be utilized for both RBC and ARTS configurations.
RBC Antenna system on contract and under construction.
(Currently HTS RBC-A, NHS RBC-B, TTS RBC-C).
Inflatable radomes are intended to protect RBC, Antedo and ARTS antennas. The radomes are constructed from Raydell R- 60 Teflon® Fiberglass composite rated at 134 MPH or, when indicated on the chart, the Q-65 radome rated at 200 MPH.
Signifies RBC antenna. Currently all RBC antennas include 13M diameter dishes.
The solid circle and the Decagon signify an inflatable radome and a space frame radome respectively. Both radomes are used to protect a legacy ARTS antenna. The “XX” depicts the radome diameter. The “YY” depicts the antenna diameter.
NOTE:
• Each RBC is equipped with: Titan 13M, 3-Axis Antenna, Inflatable Radome, Sky Crane MX Lift, Core & Console to include RDT&E, All CONUS sites have UFE (OCONUS sites do not), LPUE (Low Power Uplink Enhancement)
• RBC deliveries include: VTS-A, DGS-B, TCS-C and GTS-B.
VCE
LPA Low Power Amplifier (LPA). Similar to the Low Power Uplink Enhancement but used only on the RBC side of the EVCF.
SQPSK Staggered Quadrature Phased Shift Keying. provide automated downlink demodulation capabilities.
