2.3. Rack Configuration
The following layout is a proposal and contains all switches and the possible number of patch panels. The position in the rack depends on the local requirements during installation.
2.4. Enterasys Switch Configuration
Do not delete or make any changes on these settings.
Connect to the switch via serial cable from a PC to the Console port and VT100 emulation.
The cable type is a D-Sub 9-pole null modem.

Switch configuration Icsdover
Connect with “HyperTerminal” to the switch and set the IP address like it is described on the
IP Address list.
USERNAME: admin
Command: Set ip address 192.168.0.xx mask 255.255.255.0
For xx enter the Address of the selected switch.
3. ICS-Server – Installation
3.1. Purpose
The purpose of the following chapters is to describe the installation steps.

3.1.1. Overview
The two server are configured as a Domain Model:
The domain name is: ICSDOVER
The server name for the PDC1 is: ICSSRV1 and for PDC2: ICSSRV2
3.2. Installing the System
3.2.1. Bios configuration
The following steps must be done on both server.
1. Power on the server.
2. If prompted, press F2 to enter Setup (Bios.).
3. select integrated Device. Step to Embedded Raid controller.
configure option Raid Enabled
