QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
Attachment 5a, I.A.3) Phasing, and
III.A. FAR52.211-10
SOW states specific working period for replacement of 1FL AHU at multi-story bldg and AC unit at single-story bldg etc. However, there is another specific condition for whole construction schedule including design period for seed project (120days plus 360days).
If we follow specific schedule for replacement of the AC unit which can start from 15 Sep 2011, we will not be able to have enough time for design (120days) from NTP. Please advise us which information we need to follow.
See revised SOW for seed project (Attachment 5a) with revision mark 1, attached to this amendment.
Attachment 5a, III.A.
FAR52.211-10, and Attachement 4b
SOW III. A. line 4 is describing whole construction schedule as follows: "~performance period will be 120 calendar days for design and 360days for construction, total of 480 calender days after Notice to Proceed is~". Do we need to consider these 480days includes construction period for 3 projects in the scenario shown on Attachement 4b?
This performance period of 480 days is only applicable to the seed project.
Offerors' need to estimate what would be a reasonable period of performance for the mock project and roofing project in Phasing Schedule Execution scenario. Government has provided the assumption that all projects were awarded on the same day.
Attachment 4a, I.A. In the "General Requirements" for Renovate Conference Room 109, B620, it is written "Interior as well as exterior should be aesthetically pleasing".
We need verification on whether the "external" actually mean the outside of the bldg. or the corridor area outside Rm 109.
Exterior is referring to someone looking towards the conference room from outside the building.
Attachment 4a, I.C. Does the corridor mean the printer area right outside Rm 109 to Rms. 116 & 117 or all the way to Rms. 104 and 105 (to the main Hallway)?
Corridor is the area just outside Rm 109 which connects to the conf room door to the area where copy machine is located.
Attachment 4a, II. Required Information, B & C ( 1/30 scale plan & drawings), both B & C can be drawn on one sheet (if the earlier mentioned "exterior" is the corridor). This would cut down on paper, effort and time.
See response to Q.3 above. Please note, however, that the government does not need an elevation or view showing exterior of the building. We should be able to visualize what it looks like based on the information submitted for conference room and photocopy area.
