Application Release 1.0.7.2
Introduction
1 Introduction
The War Reserve Materiel Management System (WRMMS) was designed specifically for the War Reserve Materiel (WRM) Program. It covers all processes required to ensure WRM asset records are complete for inventories, maintenance, and shipping. WRMMS contains data for Harvest Falcon assets, Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR); Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE);
Tanks, Racks, Adapters, Pylons (TRAP); Fuels Mobility Support Equipment (FMSE); and Vehicles/MMHE/Facilities maintenance functions in the WRM program.
WRMMS converges critical WRM program components into a seamless integration of logistics, accountability, and inventory, including:
• Production planning
• Scheduling
• Generating work orders
• Monitoring employee hourly production
• Parts monitoring and reporting
WRMMS manages assets throughout the entire WRM program cycle at all locations:
• Receiving
• Storage
• Maintenance
• Deployment/Transfer
• Reconstitution
1.1 Purpose
This guide describes the processes and procedures for the end users of the WRMMS application.
Application Release 1.0.7.2
Introduction
1.2 Scope
This manual addresses version 1.0.7.0 of the application.
1.3 Minimum System Requirements
To function most effectively, the system requires the following hardware and software.
1.3.1 Hardware
The following hardware is required:
• Client and Server hardware requirements based on the standard requirements set out by Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Borland Delphi 7
• Barcode scanners to record information on equipment, work orders, parts, tools, and man hours.
• Printers:
o Barcode Labels - Desktop Z4M and Portable PT40 o Reports - Any standard configurable printer
1.3.2 Software
The following software is required:
• The WRMMS Delphi client is compiled for Microsoft 2000 client or Windows
XP.
• Site servers are configured with Microsoft SQL 2000 Server Standard Edition and Windows 2000 Server Standard Edition.
• The PSO server client configurations are configured with Microsoft SQL 2000 Server Enterprise Edition.
1.4 Tracking and Reporting
A report generation module provides comprehensive asset management and tracking details. Reporting provides real time information for instant access to the disposition of all WRM assets, including:
• Real time data to WRM program managers
• Access to all WRMMS reports
• Visibility of all assets in the program, including deployed assets
• Ability to track asset status by location, Transportation Control Number (TCN) and Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) tasking numbers
Selected data can be exported to multiple formats, such as Microsoft Excel, for customized reporting.
1.5 Data Management
WRMMS can accept data inputs from Air Force legacy systems and provide data outputs to any common database system, including:
Application Release 1.0.7.2
Introduction
• CD/DVD-based data systems including Federal Logistics Data (FEDLOG) inputs
• Office-based spreadsheet systems and auditable documentation, such as the Harvest Falcon Inventory Report (HFIR) and Transaction Identification Codes (TRIC) reports
• Standard database systems that use Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Legacy database systems that use column/row data arrangement
Note: WRMMS can upload TRIC details to the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) via flat file transfers; this function is approved by Air Combat Command/Central Command Air Forces (ACC/CENTAF).
1.6 Technical Architecture
The following diagram provides an overview of the logical server layout and communication links.
