USAMS III Ceiling Questions

Q: Is that part of a reason why you went from a larger to smaller ceiling?

A: The major factors driving the smaller program ceiling are:

1) Impact from previous contractor to government in-sourcing.

a. USAMS II historical FTE count: FY10 656, FY11, 526, FY12 505

2) Reduction in budget

a. USAMS II obligated $90Million per year, USAMS III is projected to obligate

$60Million per year

Q: You are expecting the same expenditure rate for USAMS III as with USAMS II, correct? Maybe lower?

A: USAMS II has a 5 year ordering period just like USAMS III will. So, the expenditure rate will be lower.

Q: Why was the contract value of USAMS III lowered to 500 vs. the 900 for USAMS II? It doesn’t look like there has been a change in scope.
