Statement of Objectives
Date: 2 Oct 2010 Project #: Seed Project
Project Title: Convert Honor Guard to VTC Provide a proposal to convert existing Honor Guard area into VTC for officer and admin staff.
Please provide items listed below for technical review.

· Estimate
· Drawings
Objectives:
1. Design VTC in area shown on drawing. VTC to be built to STC 50 standards.
2. VTC to only have access from admin/office area.
3. Construction of VTC to be from true deck to true ceiling. All penetrations to meet VTC standards.
4. Provide VTC lighting above conference area with dimmable can lighting around perimeter of room.
5. Provide all requirements to support (2) 60” flat screen TV’s on wall. Provide area for VTC controller within VTC.
6. All existing mechanical equipment to be demolished. Install new roof mounted mechanical equipment to serve office area, VTC, and Comm closet. Ensure ductwork into VTC meets security standards.
7. Provide Comm room large enough for (3) racks. (1) rack to be separated from other (2) racks by (1) meter. Provide sufficient power and cooling. Locate room logically.
8. Within office area provide Executive office, admin area, kitchenette, waiting area, and any other spaces deemed necessary.
9. Executive office to have desk for commander, wall space for flat screeen TV, and area for small side table for discussions.
10. Kitchenette to have upper and lower cabinets, area for full size refrigerator, and sufficient power. No sink or running water requirement.
11. Comm by others.
12. Provide fire sprinklers as required.
13. Furniture to be provided by others and contract has not been released. Layout all spaces using best design practices.
14. Assume no asbestos or lead present.
15. No CAD files exist on existing space and will need to be created.
General Requirements:
Project includes, but not limited to the following work elements. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, services and incidentals. No alterations, additions, or deletions shall be made unless by prior approval of the SABER Project Manager and the Contracting Officer. The project is to be designed in accordance with the Base Design Guidelines. Work shall be completed in a neat, substantial and competent manner.
· Item 1: All work will meet the International Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, National Electrical Code, NFPA 72 and any other applicable code requirement.
· Item 2: Maintain work site in a clean and orderly manner so that the safest possible site is provided for workers and AF members.
· Item 3: In the event of a conflict between the drawings and the Statement of Work (SOW), the SOW will take precedence.
