About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Space Acquisition and Integration Office (SAIO) on behalf of the 21st Communications Squadron at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, to conduct market research on the consolidation of communications contracts across three locations: Peterson SFB, Schriever SFB, and Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station. The RFI seeks to identify commercial services capable of supporting mission-critical IT systems in secure environments, with a response deadline of February 23, 2026, and an estimated timeline to award of 12 months (February 2027). The acquisition is limited to small business entities under NAICS Code 517810 (All Other Telecommunications) with a small business size standard of $40 million and is planned as a Commercial Solutions Offering (CSO).

The required services encompass engineering IT solutions for secure mission systems, customer service request handling for mission-critical networks, planning and execution of secure communications solutions, cybersecurity plan development and execution, Risk Management Framework management, and operational IT support in isolated and secure environments. Unique requirements include personnel ability to work in secure, isolated facilities for extended periods and knowledge of antiquated systems and government-specific standards. Respondents must address nine specific questions covering capabilities and commercial availability, customization requirements, security experience, pricing, past performance with government agencies, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) progress, Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) experience, and additional relevant factors. The RFI is issued for informational purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to procure; responses are limited to seven pages and should be submitted via email, with proprietary information clearly marked for protection.
