OPERATIONAL GROUND TEST (OGT) FACILITY
1.0 PURPOSE
2.0
. The primary purpose of the OGT Facility is to conduct ground tests on live precision guided weapons in a simulated operational environment. The test may include temperature and vibration conditioning, seeker guidance HITL, and engine run either individually, simultaneously, or sequentially to determine the weapon’s operational readiness and reliability.
2.1. The OGT Facility is located on TA C-80A, approximately 21 miles northeast of Eglin main base, reached via SRs 20 and 285 and RRs 200 and 201. TA C-80A is approved for testing munitions up to 2,000 pounds NEW.
GENERAL.
2.2. The total-fragment-recovery system (appendix F5) is also located on TA C-80A. It is used infrequently.
