About this file
The document is an Electrical Plan for the Milpitas Sports Center Scoreboard Replacement Project in California, involving the City of Milpitas' procurement of electrical installation services for new scoreboards. The project scope includes the removal of existing scoreboards and installation of 7 new scoreboards across 3 city locations, with the city providing the scoreboards and building permits. The contractor is required to handle demolition, electrical connections, and installation, including setting up new electrical disconnects, conduits, and ground rods. The contractor must perform at least 50% of the work directly and may subcontract up to 50% of the project work.
The electrical plan specifies technical requirements for scoreboard installation, including using NEMA 3R disconnects, sizing conductors per CEC Table 310.16, and considering load determination per ASCE 7-16 standards. The project involves installing scoreboards at different locations, including a senior scoreboard, a Dak Score/MX-1 interface box, and major and minor scoreboards on the west and east sides. The Sports Center field electrical panel is located between the football field and snack shack. The electrical installation must adhere to specific technical specifications for conduits, conductors, and electrical load management.
