About this file
This document is a NASA Research & Education Support Services (NRESS) Work Plan for STRG Support, covering multiple activities related to Space Technology Research Grants for the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD). The work plan outlines five key activities from October 2019 through September 2020, including NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunities, Early Career Faculty Appendix, Early Stage Innovations Appendix, and Space Technology Research Institutes.
The primary responsibilities include supporting NASA's research solicitation processes, such as preparing solicitation documents, conducting compliance checks, managing proposal reviews, organizing technical integration panels, and providing administrative support for selection activities. Key deliverables involve processing approximately 400 graduate research proposals, conducting panel reviews with 35-50 non-civil servant reviewers, preparing recommendation documents, and supporting selection notifications. The work plan anticipates modifications in January 2020 to extend performance periods and add additional support activities, with various proposal due dates ranging from November 2019 to November 2020 and selection dates from April 2020 to February 2021.
