About this file
Summary
This document is a Task Assignment Change Order Form issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for a design services contract with Michael Baker International, a consulting firm based in Tallahassee, Florida. The change order modifies Contract CN202, Task 20, which pertains to design services for the Equestrian Campground project at River Rise Preserve State Park. The contract manager for FDEP is Jack Brady, and the consultant's representative is Chad Schroeder, PE, Senior Project Manager. The change order was processed on June 11, 2020, and approved by various FDEP officials and the consultant.
The change order grants a time extension to allow the consultant to incorporate final plan comments, extending the task completion date from June 30, 2020, to October 31, 2020—a net extension of 123 days. No adjustment to the contract amount is reflected in this change order; the total task amount remains $85,275.96, comprised of $2,225.00 in reimbursement costs and $83,050.96 in fixed fees. The extension enables the consultant to complete final plans and specifications under current building codes and deliver a "shelved" plan set to FDEP, with bid-ready finalization to occur at a later date pending FDEP's securing of construction funding.

Re: Time Extension Request for River Rise Reserve State Park Equestrian Campground Design FDEP Contract CN202, Task 20
Mr. Rowe, Per your e-mail correspondence dated 6/11/20, we are submitting an official time extension request for the subject project. We request that the end date for the completion of our design be extended from 6/30/20 to 10/31/20. It is our understanding that by 10/31/20, we will complete the final plans and specifications for this project under currently designed building codes and provide FDEP with a “shelved” plan set. Updates to these codes and finalization of the plans to a “bid ready” state will occur at a later date once construction funding is secured by FDEP.
Please let me know if there are any questions on this request.
Sincerely, Chad A. Schroeder, PE Senior Project Manager
