About this file
This document contains an amendment to a broad agency announcement and information about a related federal contract opportunity. Amendment 05 provides the answer to a question about page limits for the technical/management volume of proposals submitted in response to solicitation BAA-RQKPD-2015-0001 Call 0006. Specifically, a one-page cover page would not count against the 20-page limit for the technical/management proposal.
The related federal contract opportunity is for the Composite Airframe Life Extension program. The goal is to identify, develop, demonstrate and validate technology that will allow the US Air Force to safely extend the certified service lives of airframes containing advanced composite primary structures without needing to replace aged structures or repeat extensive demonstration processes. The program aims to determine the residual strength, durability, damage tolerance and reliability of composite structures throughout original and potential new service life cycles. The soliciting agency is the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory.
