CALL 0005
Amendment 03
BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT
BAA-RQKPD-2015-0001, Call 0005, Amendment 03
Air Force Research Laboratory Aerospace Systems Directorate, Power and Control Division
BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT TITLE: Composite Airframe Life Extension
(CALE)
BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: BAA-RQKPD-2015-0001
PROPOSAL CALL ANNOUNCEMENT (Call) TITLE: Impact Damage Analysis Tools (IDAT) for Composite Structures
PROPOSAL CALL ANNOUNCEMENT (Call) NUMBER: 0005, Amendment 03
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions asked by potential offerors.
The questions with their respective answers are addressed below:
Question 1. Will the Contractor have to deliver all used analysis tools in executable or source code format?
Answer: Analysis tool needs to be delivered in a format that AFRL can use without purchasing additional software from the offeror. An example would be a UMAT that could be used within Abaqus software in which UMAT could be an executable. If the module requires additional software purchase from the offeror (except the off-the-shelf software such as Abaqus, LS-Dyna, etc.), that diminishes the usability of the deliverable.
Question 2. Are FEM and PD Analysis Modules deliverables under CDRL A001 Final Report and/or
CDRL A005?
Answer: Both FEA and Peridynamic models are expected as deliverables under CDRL 0005.
NO OTHER CHANGES ARE BEING ACCOMPLISHED BY THIS AMENDMENT.
PROPOSAL DUE DATE AND TIME REMAINS UNCHANGED.
