About this file

This is a General Decision wage determination document (CA20260007) issued by the Department of Labor, effective 05/18/2026, establishing prevailing wage rates for construction projects in California.

The wage determination covers Building, Heavy and Highway construction across 23 California counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Marin, Modoc, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, and Yuba. Building construction projects exclude Amador County only. Dredging projects include clamshell and dipper dredging but exclude hopper dredge work. Heavy construction projects exclude water well drilling. The determination includes Modification 4, published 05/18/2026, superseding Modification 3 from 01/23/2026.

Prevailing wage rates are listed for numerous trade classifications including asbestos workers/insulators, boilermakers, marble finishers, bricklayers, terrazzo workers, tile layers, marble masons, divers (multiple types), carpenters (by county and specialization), electricians, elevator mechanics, ironworkers, laborers (multiple classifications), painters, plasterers, plumbers, roofers, sheet metal workers, and truck drivers. Rates vary by county and job classification, with hourly wages ranging from approximately $28 to $103 and fringe benefits ranging from approximately $16 to $49. Classifications include union rates, survey rates, state-adopted rates, and weighted union average rates. Footnotes address specialty conditions such as high-altitude work, saturation diving premiums, deep footing work, and sewer cleaning hazard pay. The document notes that unlisted classifications may be added after award per 29 CFR 5.5(a)(1)(iii). Additional notes address Executive Orders 13706 and 13658 regarding paid sick leave requirements for federal contractors.
