About this file

This is a Quality Control section from a federal contract Statement of Work or Performance Work Statement.

The contractor is required to implement comprehensive quality control (QC) processes documented in a Contractor-prepared Quality Control Plan (QCP) that covers all aspects of work affecting deliverable and service quality. The contractor bears responsibility for ensuring all work meets or exceeds base contract requirements. Specific requirements include obtaining and maintaining disposal certificates for Hazardous Exposure Facility (HEF) related materials, documenting disposal methods referenced in Attachment 11 (Work Plan) pages 2-3, and providing full accountability for material quantities transported to disposal facilities. The Government will conduct quality assurance (QA) surveillance using methods specified in the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) to evaluate contractor performance against project objectives and requirements. The Government reserves the right to modify QASP surveillance tasks and perform QA inspections at any time. Work deficiencies are defined as work not in compliance with the approved Work Plan, Statement of Work, and this attachment; work process failures include work not meeting safety requirements. Upon identification of deficiencies or failures, the contractor will receive a Corrective Action Request (CAR) and must provide comprehensive documentation detailing the root cause, explanation of why the QC Program failed to detect the issue, and corrective actions implemented.
