Solicitation 12639524Q0242 for Traps Attachment 1: Statement of Work (SOW)
1. General Information Insect traps and attractants are sensitive detectors of insect populations at the group, genus, or species level. Traps and lures are a primary tool used to detect the initial infestation, delimit the extent of the infestation, and manage introduced pest populations. Without the appropriate trap and lure combination, detecting and defining the infestation might not be possible. Early detection can reduce the costs of an eradication program and make it more likely to succeed, potentially saving the USDA, the States, and cooperators millions of dollars.
1.1 Price Schedule
The vendor will provide fixed pricing per sample in the Pricing Schedule below that includes the costs for the traps as well as all costs necessary to supply and deliver the supplies to the location listed Section 2.2. The specifications for each type of trap are in Section 2.1. The vendor does not have to provide quotes for all line items to be considered for award.

The trap must consists of two intersecting panels and a top and bottom made of corrugated plastic board.
In the middle section of the panels, there must be a 3 inch x 6 inch cutout in the panels where the lure(s) is placed; this must include 2 small holes so that twist ties can be used while hanging lures.
The total height of the trap, including the collection cup, must be 48 inches.
The top and bottom of the trap must either be creased several times around the trap, as in Figure 1, or creased four times, one on each side of the cross-vanes, as in Figure 2.
Dimensions:
• Each cross panel: 32 inches x 12 inches
• Trap top: 22 inches x 26 inches
• Trap bottom: 22 inches x 26 inches
• Trap body (panels, top, and bottom): 1/8 inch (3mm) translucent corrugated plastic board
Fluon® coating [55-65% polytetrafluoroethylene (with 1-5% polyethylene alkylether) solution in water] must:
• Fully coat the trap body
• Coat the interior of the trap bottom
The trap top, collection cup, and any connection devices (pins or zip ties) for the collection cup (described below) must not be coated.
