About this file

This is a Safety Message Mass Update Report Template for the Modification Work Order (MWO) tracking system used by the Department of the Army for mounted armored vehicles. The template is designed to collect completion data for safety-related modifications across various vehicle platforms including the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle, M113, Combat Recovery System M88, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, and Multiple Launch Rocket System derivatives.

The template requires five data fields: National Stock Number (NSN) in 13-digit format without dashes, Serial Number as displayed in the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) including special characters, MWO Number with proper dash placement and capitalization, Completion Date in M/D/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY format, and Completed By designation selecting from authorized maintenance levels (CONTRACTOR, CSMS, DEPOT, ECS/AMSA, FMS, LARS, LCMC, LRC, MATES, UNIT, or UTES). The file includes detailed formatting instructions, correct and incorrect examples for each field, and definitions for all maintenance level acronyms. Contractors submitting updates must use a clean spreadsheet containing only data rows without headers, instructions, or examples to avoid upload errors in the MMIS system.

· NSN—national stock number of the item being reported as completed
o Entry should be 13 digits and should NOT include dashes
§ Correct: 1005012310973
§ Incorrect: 1005-01-231-0973
o The system accepts the Excel scientific format for the NSN, as long as it is a numerical value only, without dashes.
· SERIAL—serial number of the item being reported, as displayed in MMIS and on unit property book, to include any special characters
o The serial number should not be in the legacy format with leading zeroes and no special characters. (Ex: 12345-6 instead of 00000000000123456)
· MWO NUMBER—Modification Work Order that was completed, as displayed in MMIS. Misplacement of dashes in the message number will return an error that the message does not exist.
o All letters should be capitalized.
· COMPLETION DATE—date the MWO was completed or verified (if the actual completion date is not known)
o The system accepts the Excel default date format of M/D/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY.
· COMPLETED BY—maintenance level that completed the work. Must be one of the following entries (in caps):
o CONTRACTOR
o CSMS
o DEPOT
o ECS/AMSA
o FMS
o LARS
o LCMC
o LRC
o MATES
o UNIT
o UTES
