About this file
This document is the Scope of Services Appendix 6 - Contractor Selection and Notification Tasks for the State of Illinois vehicle emissions inspection program. The document outlines the contractor's responsibilities, which include: receiving vehicle registration records from the Secretary of State (SOS), determining if vehicles are subject to the emissions testing law, assigning test eligibility dates, generating and sending enforcement files and test notices to the SOS and vehicle owners, and sending compliance records to the SOS. The contractor is responsible for managing the entire process of selecting vehicles for testing and notifying owners, including for new registrations and changes of ownership. The related state and local contract opportunity is not open for bids, as it was mistakenly cancelled by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA).
The document does not provide any details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources, or other salient commercial information. It is focused solely on outlining the technical and operational requirements for the contractor responsible for the vehicle emissions testing program in Illinois.
