About this file
This is a Repairs Request document from the City of Long Beach detailing sample technician dispatch tasks for network, voice, security, and related infrastructure services. The document outlines five specific repair and installation projects that vendors should include as line items in their cost proposals: a no dial tone incident at 2760 N Studebaker Road requiring diagnosis to determine if the issue originates from the City's side or the service provider; a camera replacement at the northeast corner of Pine Avenue and Shoreline Drive requiring a bucket truck for 19-foot installation height and traffic control; a phone replacement involving pickup of a Cisco 8850 phone and installation for John Doe at the Health Department; a new phone installation at Pacific Gateway requiring network jack patching and port activation confirmation; and a network outage response involving Cradlepoint modem replacement at Silverado Park. All tasks require technician dispatch during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), with vendors expected to provide estimated time of arrival (ETA) for each incident.
The vendor is required to provide labor only, as the City will handle all hardware and software configuration. All replacement equipment will be collected from 411 W. Ocean Boulevard, 7th Floor, by the dispatched technician. This sample proposal serves as an example of the types of repair services the City anticipates needing and should be incorporated into the vendor's cost proposal as individual line items for pricing purposes.
