Welcome Station Amendment #5 Addendum
Requests for Information (RFI’s) for Plans and Specifications
VRC-RFI-001
| 1. | Is the granite path on page A1.1 correct? Granite is not natural to central Oregon. |
| 2. | A1.1 in Alt No. 2 specifies 3” asphalt pavement; C2.1 specifies 2” of asphalt pavement. |
| 3. | Is the Asphalt binder PG 70-22 correct, I would assume PG 64-28 would be the normal choice. |
1. Granite is correct. Conform with ASTM C33. See REV-40
2. See REV-41. Use 2” asphalt.
3. Bid using PG70-22 binder.
TSS-RFI-025
Please clarify when bids are due and what is due, when?
Folks, in Amendment #4 yesterday in FBO for the Welcome Station building, I put in there the “new” proposals due information. Apparently I made things muddier with my message not clearer. So let me try again.
This is what went into FBO 8/20/14:
“Another change to Proposal due date: In the interest of fairness to the folks who don’t live in Central Oregon and are bidding on this project, we have been trying to accommodate last minute pricing by your suppliers and the need to get your pricing in prior to bid closing. With that in mind we have suggested a couple of scenarios’ that we thought would make sense to everyone and ease some of the last minute changes that might occur in your pricing and proposals. To make things as simple as possible I’m making the deadline for proposals technical and pricing all due on the same day. Proposals are DUE August 27th hardcopy at my office by 4:30pm. That means everything!!. This means pricing by division and totals. BY 4:30 the same day, I’ll allow revised pricing to be faxed or emailed to carmour@fs.fed.us or 541-416-6661 fax. This is to capture any revisions you may have received from your suppliers.”
So let me add to the instructions above. I still expect a detailed pricing breakdown submission from you also. So at 4:30 send any revised pricing by division and totals, and by 6:30 send the detailed pricing list which includes the sub items pricing under each division and the totals.
Also the hardcopy offers are to come to MY office on the Ochoco National Forest in Prineville.
Ochoco National Forest 3160 NE Third St.
Prineville, OR 97754 Attn: Cyndy Armour
Any more clarifications or questions, feel free to call or email me.
