About this file
This document is Addendum #001 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 030-MJ-0225 issued by Polk County Public Schools Purchasing Department for a Fire Alarm System Inspection Testing Certification Term Contract. The addendum modifies the original solicitation by scheduling a second mandatory pre-bid conference on December 5, 2024, at 1:30 PM in the Purchasing Conference Room, with attendance requirements stipulating that only duly authorized representatives of prospective bidders may attend. The deadline for receipt of questions has been extended to December 5, 2024, at 3:00 PM, with responses anticipated on or about December 9, 2024. The anticipated contract term runs from March 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, with potential for four additional one-year extensions. Notably, Item #12 on page 21 of the original bid form has been removed from the solicitation.
The addendum includes an updated Anticipated Schedule of Events, with key dates including the electronic bid receipt deadline on December 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM, bid opening on December 13, 2024, and potential recommendation of award on January 28, 2025. The solicitation covers comprehensive fire alarm system inspection, testing, and certification for 134 district sites, including elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as educational support buildings. While specific pricing details are not included in this addendum, the overall contract aims to ensure 100% compliance with NFPA 72 requirements across the district's fire alarm systems, with contractors required to provide all necessary supervision, labor, materials, and equipment for thorough system inspections.
