About this file
This is a logo image file associated with an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Granite School District (GSD), a procurement unit of Salt Lake County, Utah, for wood floor refinishing services. The image depicts the Bonneville Junior High School logo and serves as supporting documentation for the procurement opportunity. The project encompasses sanding, sealing, and refinishing approximately 13,250 square feet of flooring at Bonneville Jr High School (5330 South 1660 East, Holladay) and 12,450 combined square feet at Matheson Jr High School (3650 South Montclair Street, Magna), including gymnasium floors and a dance room. The scope of work includes sanding existing floors, reproducing game lines and logos through painting, replacing base trim, removing unused equipment sleeves and mounting points, and applying two seal coats and three finish coats using GSD-approved products. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at both school locations, with failure to attend resulting in bid disqualification. Bids are due May 21, 2026, submitted electronically through the Bonfire Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) system or as sealed written bids to the GSD Purchasing Department. Award recommendation will be presented at the June 2, 2026 GSD Board meeting, with final award issued following board approval. Work must be conducted Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., with project commencement anticipated upon purchase order issuance and completion required by December 31, 2026.
Bidders must be licensed Carpentry and Flooring Contractors classified as S220, maintain general and auto liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 general aggregate, and possess current Utah licensing valid through project completion. Bids of $50,000 or greater require bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount, and the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. Payment will be made as a lump sum at project completion following final inspection and approval, with liquidated damages of $150 per calendar day for unexcused delays beyond the completion date. All work is subject to a 12-month warranty from discovery of defects. The District reserves the right to award the contract to a single vendor at the lowest cost responsive and responsible bid or to multiple vendors by location. No specific budget range or award value has been disclosed, and no set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types have been specified.
