About this file
This is a logo image file associated with an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by Granite School District (GSD), a procurement unit of Salt Lake County, Utah, for wood floor refinishing services. The image file is titled "8-6 Matheson Logo.png" and relates to the Matheson Junior High School component of the project. The procurement seeks bids from licensed Carpentry and Flooring Contractors (S220 classification) to sand, seal, and refinish existing flooring at two junior high schools: Bonneville Jr High School and Matheson Jr High School. The project encompasses approximately 13,250 square feet at Bonneville and 12,450 combined square feet at Matheson, including gymnasium floors and a dance room. Work includes sanding existing floors, reproducing game lines and logos through painting, replacing base trim, removing unused equipment sleeves and mounting points, and applying two seal coats and three finish coats using GSD-approved products. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at both school locations, with attendance required or bidders will be disqualified. Bids are due May 21, 2026, submitted electronically through the Bonfire Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) system or as sealed written bids to the GSD Purchasing Department. Award recommendation will be presented at the June 2, 2026 GSD Board meeting, with final award issued following board approval. The project is anticipated to commence upon purchase order issuance with completion required by December 31, 2026, and work must be conducted Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
Bidders must maintain general and auto liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 general aggregate, possess current Utah licensing valid through project completion, and comply with all federal and state laws including E-Verify requirements and prohibitions on undocumented labor. Bids of $50,000 or greater require bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, certified check, or cash, and the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. Payment will be made as a lump sum at project completion following final inspection and approval. GSD reserves the right to award the contract to a single vendor at the lowest cost responsive and responsible bid or to multiple vendors by location based on overall low bids. Liquidated damages of $150 per calendar day will accrue for unexcused delays beyond the completion date, and all work is subject to a 12-month warranty from discovery of defects. No set-aside designations, incumbent vendors, or specific budget range have been disclosed in available procurement documents.
