About this file

This is a logo image file for Bonneville Jr High School related to a wood floor refinishing Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Granite School District, a procurement unit of Salt Lake County, Utah. The Granite School District seeks bids from licensed Carpentry and Flooring Contractors (S220 classification) to sand, seal, and refinish existing flooring at two junior high schools: Bonneville Jr High School (5330 South 1660 East, Holladay) and Matheson Jr High School (3650 South Montclair Street, Magna). The project encompasses approximately 13,250 square feet at Bonneville and 12,450 combined square feet at Matheson, including gymnasium floors and a dance room. Work includes sanding existing floors, reproducing game lines and logos, replacing base trim, removing unused equipment sleeves, and applying two seal coats and three finish coats using GSD-approved products. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at both school locations; bidders who fail to attend will be disqualified. Bids are due May 21, 2026, submitted electronically through the Bonfire Utah Public Procurement Place system or as sealed written bids to the GSD Purchasing Department. Award recommendation will be presented at the June 2, 2026, GSD Board meeting, with final award issued following board approval. Work is anticipated to commence upon purchase order issuance with completion required by December 31, 2026, and must be conducted Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

Bidders must maintain general and auto liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 general aggregate, possess current Utah licensing valid through project completion, and comply with E-Verify requirements prohibiting undocumented labor. Bids of $50,000 or greater require bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount, and the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. Payment will be made as a lump sum at project completion following final inspection and approval, with liquidated damages of $150 per calendar day accruing for unexcused delays beyond the completion date. All work is subject to a 12-month warranty from discovery of defects. The District reserves the right to award to a single vendor at the lowest cost responsive and responsible bid or to multiple vendors by location based on overall low bids. No specific budget range, set-aside designations, incumbent vendors, or current contractors have been disclosed in the available procurement documents.
