About this file
This document is a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for NASA Ames Research Center's Facilities Support Services II (AFSS II) contract. The solicitation seeks a single-award hybrid contract to provide comprehensive facilities support services for the Ames Research Center campus at Moffett Field, covering approximately 389 acres with 5 million square feet of floor space. The contract will include a 60-day phase-in period, a twelve-month base period, four twelve-month option periods, and a potential six-month extension, with a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) ordering schedule.
The contract will utilize a mixed pricing structure, including Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for operations and maintenance, reactive maintenance, and specialty support services. The primary objectives include providing operations, maintenance, and repair services for wind tunnels, clean rooms, laboratories, computing facilities, administrative offices, and associated utility systems. NASA is particularly interested in leveraging predictive testing and inspection (PT&I) and condition-based maintenance (CBM) techniques to lower maintenance costs. Potential offerors are encouraged to submit comments on the draft solicitation within 21 calendar days of release, with comments to be sent to the Contracting Officer, Anna Foreman.
