The project is located at Oceana Naval Air Station - Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, VA.
Existing Building 470 is provided with a significant 2-story building addition at the West end of recently completed project P603 and select interior renovations. The new addition provides expanded data processing & mission operational spaces, increased operational support spaces, select facility security upgrades, and associated utility & site modifications.
Parking at the complex is also expanded to improve the parking concerns for the approximately 368 personnel across the TUSC LANT complex.
The building addition includes training, operations, administrative, IT logistics support, and watch stander spaces. It consists of open secret storage spaces (OSS), controlled areas, NMCI server room, and telecommunications rooms. Supporting spaces include male and female restrooms, a break room, an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) room, and utility rooms.
The renovation area primarily consists of approximately 4,300 SF of floor space on the first floor of the original portion of existing Building 470.
It includes training and training support spaces. Additionally, the project includes upgrades to portions of the HVAC system and the relocation of existing UPS equipment from the existing building to the new addition. It also includes the replacement of the existing fire protection systems in existing Building 470 and portions of existing utility Building 469.
