Question:
Work Item 15: Paragraph 3.8 states "3.8 Fleeting. At the Arrival Conference, the Contractor shall submit a second set of Dry-docking calculations in accordance with SFLC Std Spec 8634, Appendix A for the alternate blocking position from that indicated in paragraph 3.4.1 Blocking position."
Work item as written does not state that the vessel is to be fleeted during the repair period.
Is contractor required to submit a second set of drydocking calculations?
Is the contractor reqiured to fleet the vessel during the repair period?
Answer :
a. The second set of calculations is required. These are normally provided because the ship’s liquid load is variable until it arrives at the contractor’s facility.
b. No, the contractor is not required to fleet the vessel.
Question:
Work Item 25: Which components are intended to be replaced as "remote operation hardware"?
Does remote operation hardware include replacing deck boxes?
Answer:
If deck boxes were found to be faulty it would include them

Work Item 25: Bill of Materials #14 identifies flexible shaft assemblies, believed to be manufactured by Stow. Are Teleflex remote operators acceptable for use in the three areas where remote operators are identified?
Answer:
Teleflex would be acceptable, pending it meets all req's from STBD SPEC 5000 and or any applicable Specification. The majority of the approved ones have a Stainless steel outer covering/wrap and those are approved.
