Design plumbing, hose bib and hose to maximize flow to cutter. Hose bib shall be protected from freezing, by using trace heating, insulation cover, or using a hose bib that meets the requirements of ASSE 1019/ASSE 1053. The contractor shall also provide all hoses, valves, surface mounted piping, connections and fitting from the water source to the 140’ cutter mooring. Refer to RFP drawing C104. See Attachment X for photos.
1.1.1.6.2 Sanitary Sewer: The Contractor is not responsible for sanitary sewer connections.
1.1.1.6.3 Electrical Power: The Contractor shall provide and install a new electrical shore-tie for the temporary mooring. Vessel shore-tie electrical services shall comply SILC-CSTO-36-11 21 27 11-04 Electrical Shore Ties. The contractor can reuse one of the existing power mounds at MSU Cleveland. All conduits shall be surface mounted and secure, trenching is prohibited. At the end of construction, the Contractor shall remove their work, including, electrical shore-tie, electrical transformer, meter and accessories. The power mound shall be removed and install at USCG MSU Cleveland Harbor along with all other electrical hookup work to provide a fully operational power mound for the cutter.
