About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Disassembly and Removal of ARM Climate Research Facility Southern Great Plains (SGP) Integrated Facility (IF) Radar Sites in Oklahoma. The project involves dismantling and removing 3 radars and remediating 4 sites across 5 specific locations: IF4, IF5, IF7, IF8, and IF10. The contractor will be responsible for completely disassembling radar components (including domes, dishes, pedestals, platforms, and instrument containers), removing infrastructure such as communication towers, concrete foundations, shipping containers, and fencing, and ensuring all radar components are recycled or destroyed.
Key technical requirements include: full site restoration with compacted fill dirt, grass seeding to prevent erosion, cutting underground conduits 24" below surface, removing buried electrical and communication lines, and adhering to strict safety protocols including OSHA fall protection standards. The project has a desired completion date of September 30, 2025, with a pre-proposal meeting scheduled for July 14, 2025, and an on-site visit planned for July 17, 2025. Contractors must provide all personnel, equipment, and supplies, and will be accompanied by a Laboratory representative during work. All radar components must be thoroughly destroyed and cannot be resold, with the contractor required to certify their disposal.

Period of Performance
Argonne desires for work to be completed by September 30, 2025, but requests the contractor propose their best schedule.
Objectives The objective of this project is to restore several DOE ARM satellite facilities to their natural condition or as requested by the Landowner. While the individual sites are similar, the
Contractor must recognize and understand the differences at each site before submitting a bid.
For instance, at some sites, radars have already been removed, so only site remediation is required. At another site, earth has been displaced to level a fenced-in area, and the Landowner wishes for this to be restored.
Applicable Documents
• Radar installation manual to help guide the dismantling of the radars in reverse order
• Site Drawings and Pictures
• Specification Matrix
