About this file

This file contains bid security, performance bond, and safety compliance forms for the City of Tallahassee's Pump Station 92 Replacement project (IFB No. 044-26-RM). The project involves construction of a new quadruplex submersible pump station with an above-ground valve array to replace the existing Pump Station 92 located at 6636 Buck Lake Road. The new station will be constructed adjacent to the existing facility, which will remain operational during construction. Work includes deep foundations using micropiles, grading, clearing, stormwater retention area construction, driveway demolition and replacement, fencing and gate work, landscaping, gravity and force main sanitary sewer piping, bypass pumping, erosion control, electrical and water service installation, generator installation, electrical and motor control equipment, and a shade structure. Additional work includes sheeting and shoring, dewatering, demolition and decommissioning of the existing pump station, and production of as-built and record drawings. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST via Microsoft Teams. The contractor must complete all services in a timely and first-class workmanlike manner.

Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to not less than five percent of the base bid, and the selected contractor must provide a performance bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract sum within ten consecutive calendar days of written notice of award. Contractors must complete the Florida Trench Safety Act compliance form (Chapter 90-96, Laws of Florida, effective October 1, 1990), identifying all trench safety measures, quantities, and associated costs in their bid proposal. Failure to complete the safety form may result in the bid being declared non-responsive. The surety bond must be issued by a corporation authorized to act as surety under Florida law and must include a power of attorney demonstrating the attorney-in-fact's authority. The contractor must provide a two-year warranty on all work, materials, and equipment, including remediation of any defects that may occur during that period.
