Because the outdoor condensers are grouped together at different locations, this will result in a lot of line sets and conduit in those locations. This will also result in a lot of roof supports in these areas. The problem with this type of installation, is that with this congestion of line sets and conduit, these items usually get damaged by people walking on them or damaged by the weather and being outside. Should we use Market Air’s RD Series Duct Enclosures for Refrigeration Line sets and Conduit on the roof? (See Attached spec sheet Market Air.)
This is not a VA specified requirement and would appear to be expensive and labor intensive.

How are the ICRA zones broken down (Example Zone 1 etc.)?
We broke the entire campus up into 1 of 4 different ICRA zones, map and ICRA/PCRAs attached. So when a contractor is working in an area the coordinated ICRA class is what they have to work to. The zones are 360° so if they are working on a floor, ceiling, or partition they also need to know what zone they are penetrating into and must follow the rules for the higher of the two zones. Please see attachments that are included with this amendment.
