About this file

This document is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for a Mobile Chiller requirement issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) in Tampa, FL. The amendment addresses vendor questions about the project, providing specific technical details for a mobile chiller system. Key specifications include a water-cooled chiller with 1000 tons cooling capacity, 2400 gpm flow rate, and fluid temperatures of 42/52 degrees, intended to supplement the existing chiller plant.

The solicitation requires a BACnet plug & play control system and specifies that the chiller should include safety ancillary equipment such as flow switches, butterfly valves, and temperature sensors. Notable requirements include water as the fluid medium, no contractor-supplied startup or commissioning, and no need for additional systems like hurricane tiedowns or stair access. The chiller controls will not be controlled from a VA control room, and no payment or performance bond appears to be required, though final confirmation is pending from the Contracting Officer.
