About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFI 36C24426Q0958 issued by the Erie VA Medical Center dated 09/23/2026. The RFI addresses preventive maintenance and inspection services for medical gas systems and related equipment.

The document clarifies equipment specifications and scope details for potential contractors. Boom equipment from manufacturer Skytron includes eight units with various models (E2FUB, ECT2ECM36/2AFC1/AVA5B, E2EHCM36, E2EHUB) and associated serial numbers. Nameplate data for medical air compressors, medical vacuum systems, and CO2/N2/N2O manifolds are referenced in supplementary Excel documentation and a July 2026 Final Report. The bulk liquid oxygen system is explicitly out of scope, as it is being phased out and maintained under a separate bulk gas supplier contract. Preventive maintenance includes quarterly inspections for the vacuum system in addition to annual PM/inspections. Twenty zone valve boxes located in hallways of patient care areas are accessible during normal business hours with coordination from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Site visit access for equipment assessment and quoting purposes is available upon request, and equipment nameplate data can be referenced in the supporting documentation provided by the VA.
