About this file
The document is a Subcontractor Letter of Intent form for the Hillsborough County Small Business Encouragement Program, designed to support small business enterprise (SBE) participation in county bids and proposals. The form requires authorized representatives from a primary bidder/proposer and a registered small business enterprise to outline key terms and understandings for a potential future subcontracting agreement, with spaces to specify the bid/proposal number and title, company details, contact information, and the specific scope of work or work item number to be performed.
The form is structured to promote small business involvement by mandating a formal letter of intent for SBE subcontractors listed on county bids or proposals. It provides flexibility for different contract types, including work order/term contracts, professional services, and CCNA (Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act), allowing estimated dollar amounts to be left blank in certain scenarios. By requiring signatures from both the primary bidder and the SBE firm, the document ensures mutual acknowledgment of the proposed subcontracting arrangement and serves as a commitment to potentially working together on the county project.
