About this file
This document is a Drug-Free Workplace Form for a state contract opportunity in Hillsborough County, Florida, specifically related to the SouthShore Library and Restroom Renovations project. The project involves a three-phased interior renovation of the existing 37,238 square foot Southshore Library located at 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin, FL, with an estimated construction value of $2,332,846.00. The solicitation requires contractors to submit competitive sealed bids, with a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation goal of 11% for subcontractors. Potential bidders must submit any questions or requests for interpretation no later than 14 calendar days after the solicitation issuance, site visit, or pre-bid conference, whichever occurs later.
The Drug-Free Workplace Form accompanying the contract opportunity certifies that the vendor will maintain a drug-free workplace by publishing employee statements, informing workers about drug abuse dangers, providing statements to employees, notifying authorities of drug-related convictions, and implementing drug abuse assistance programs. The form is a mandatory compliance document for contractors bidding on the Hillsborough County project, requiring the vendor to affirm their commitment to workplace drug prevention and rehabilitation efforts. The SBE goal indicates a focus on supporting local and small business participation in the county's construction projects.
